It’s getting to that time of of year again – the carollers are clearing their throats, ready to start singing again for yet another festive season. It’s time for us to start planning the outfits that will steal the show this Christmas. In case you’re doing the same, here are 59 cute Christmas outfit ideas that we think you might just love:

1. Flannel Shirt + Sequin Skirt

A sequin skirt never goes out of style, and it’s definitely a closet must-have. Maybe in a more demure black if gold is a little too brave for your liking for your cute Christmas outfit ideas this year. You can mix it up with a number of different closet pieces, for a number of different looks and events too. We love this festively-themed outfit of the day, complete with tartan / plaid shirt, and those stunning red shoes too.

2. Christmas Jumper

When the weather starts to get a little colder, that can only mean one thing – it’s time for the Christmas jumper to make its annual reappearance. And why wouldn’t it? We’re getting super excited about Christmas coming, aren’t you getting excited too? What colour is your Christmas jumper? That’s the colour you could consider matching your accessories too, in this case, a fabulous red bag. Work with skinny black jeans and boots or trainers, just like you can see here, you have a fabulous and easy to wear this daytime winter outfit. You could even layer it up further with a hat and scarf, and also an overcoat. For an evening look, you could wear this sweater with the black sequin skirt we told you about before …

3. Red Shirt + Black Midi Skirt

Tailored pieces are very much in-style right now, and tailored shirts are definitely in. We love this bright pop of colour, a great way to wear a bright shade without it taking over your look entirely. It’s a classic for the cute Christmas outfit ideas. We also love this great-shaped A-line skirt, very flattering for all manner of body types, and easy to throw on with a shirt, a sequinned top, and even a Christmas sweater. Versatile too, you could also team this look with pretty sandals for a night out, warm winter ankle boots for a more daytime look, or those Valentino beauties, as shown by this fashion icon.

4. Cute & Simple

Layering is always a good idea when the cold weather starts to draw in. This look gives you a classic, simple, and sophisticated to rock warmth with style, all at the same time. Match your gloves to your look, and throw that bit statement necklace on over the top of your high-necked sweater, and what do you have? A wintery look that you could totally wear on Christmas day!

5. Flannel Shirt + Midi Skirt

Do you remember we suggested that tartan / plaid skirt in the first outfit we presented to you? Well, we’re bringing it back around again, giving you a way to mix and match those closet staples to get more than one outfit out of them. In this case, we’re teaming it up with a beautiful summer skirt, something you probably wouldn’t have thought about during the cold winter months. If this looks a little too chilly for your liking, strap the barely-there shoes with tights and ankle boots instead. You could even go for knee-high boots, totally making use of those ones you’ve been hoarding in the back of your closet for a while.

6. White & Red

When the weather gets cold, there are only two colours on our mind – hit and red. Well, that’s a little bit of a lie, we’re rocking most of the shades of the rainbow right now, but white and red is such a classic winter combo. We felt it needed its own little slice of limelight for our cute Christmas outfit ideas. Why not? If the dress isn’t quite your scene, you could replace them with red trousers and a fitted white shirt, or off-white if you’re not really a white person either. You could throw a thick white winter sweater on with your red pants, totally making use of the red jeans you bought in the summer.

7. Sequin Skirt

We told you that the sequin skirt would be a really bit deal for this season, and when we’re talking about cute Christmas outfit ideas, we can’t come back to it enough. There’s something truly fairytale-beauty-like about this pink and sparkly wonder, also rocking another very big trend for right now – rose gold. It doesn’t really matter what colour your sequin skirt is, or what style for that matter, we’d like to bet money in the fact that it will go perfectly with any number of black tops you own in your wardrobe. When you throw a blazer over it, with a neckline-skimming necklace if you’re feeling particularly blingy, you’ll have an outfit for Christmas that anyone would be proud of. Try it – you’ll see.

8. Red Sweater + Tartan Scarf

Tartan and plaid prints come back in fashion every time the weather gets a little chilly, so it comes as no great surprise that the tartan scarf and red sweater combo would be a big one this year. This is especially the case when you consider that we’ve already discussed the big red trend too. Although you might not immediately think of adding mustard-yellow accessories to this colourful, festively-themed look, it’s a great combo, especially when you add a similarly coloured pair of boots to the mix. And if you don’t have boots, opt for little ballerina shoes and socks … Because you don’t want your toes to get cold!

9. Gold Midi Skirt

Christmas is the perfect occasion to rock out your very best skirts, and when your skirts are as beautiful as this gold midi skirt, you should be looking for any excuse to wear them. Once again, it’s the classic additions that make the look as beautiful as it is – that simple black top, for example, and contrasting (and simple) black shoes. The big necklace works brilliantly with the high neckline, and you could also sub that black, long-sleeved shirt with a thicker knitted sweater when it gets really chilly. Remember the black blazer that we discussed earlier on too? You could totally throw that on. All of the looks that you’ll see here are really very versatile. Don’t you love it when that happens?

10. Suit it up!

There’s something about wearing a man’s clothes that instantly makes you feel super sassy, don’t you think? Don’t worry, we’re not saying that you should rock his suit to that big event tonight, but if it fits, and it looks great, why not? Tailored clothing is very much a big deal right now, especially with brands such as Victoria Beckham keeping the sharp, tailored looks on the catwalk. It serves two purposes – it keeps you super warm, especially with luxurious velvet materials.

11. Pop of Red

Oh look! There’s that red theme coming back again! Didn’t we tell you it would definitely be making a few appearances? This is such a simple way of bringing new colours into your wardrobe mix, especially if you’re a newbie and aren’t used to wearing them. With simple tones and accessories supporting your bright red skirt, jeans, or even dress, it could easily be made into an every-day outfit, even though you might not have thought as such when you bought it.

12. Red Dress + Flannel Scarf

And for when simple accessories aren’t really your bag, keep your bag nude and liven things up with a brightly-printed scarf, just like you can see here, worn with that red dress we dared you to bring out earlier. Just like that mustard shade, these brown and beige / nude tones work really well with a bright red shade, and that gives you the perfect excuse to start shopping through the Mac nude lipstick range … It’s like fate, ladies!

13. Black & Gold

If there’s ever a colour that spells Christmas, it’s gold. And what goes great with gold? Black, of course! It doesn’t matter what you’re wearing, whether it’s a dress, a skirt, jeans, tailored trousers, whatever, just make them black and gold. Make it all black and gold! We love the simple combination of that little black dress with that sparkly gold, squinted bomber jacket, another big trend row inter 2018. It’s all been perfectly accessorised with the gold clutch, black shoes, and dark-gold jewellery pieces too. This is definitely one of our favourite cute Christmas outfit ideas.

14. Flannel + Sequins

Once again, we’re teaming together two of the things we’ve already pretty much established you should have in your wardrobe – the sequin skirt, and the flannel / plaid shirt. Why? Because they go so well together, don’t you think? Especially for our cute Christmas outfit ideas. The cute baby is obviously an optional extra, but we really are in love with this entire outfit, especially the way its been casually thrown together with green Hunter wellies … Also worn by the optional cute baby. When you get back inside, ready to really get the party started, you’d kick those wellies off and opt for nude strappy heels, or black ones.

15. Tulle Skirt

Sarah Jessica Parker made this skirt famous, in that oh-so-famous splash-scene in Sex and the City. Once again, there’s that red and white theme running through cute Christmas outfit ideas such as this one, and those shoes are so beautiful! Dorothy wouldn’t have dreamed of clicking her heels together three times if her heels were as beautiful as these! Notice the other popular trends for this season within this little look – the big, chunky necklace worn over the top of a high-necked sweater. The long-sleeved, round-necked top is clearly a fashion must-have for right now, and to make sure you’re super tucked in, you could even invest in a couple of bodysuits instead. At least then you won’t get those around-the-waist wrinkles.

16. Green & Red Outfit with Tan Accessories

The classic shades of the season are worked together splendidly in this get-up, showing you how to wear that oversized sweater you’ve had stuffed in the back of your closet for an age. If you’re not normally a fan of the green shade, you will be after you’ve seen this look. You’ve also got that houndstooth print on the inside of the plaid scarf too – prints are a big deal right now. They seem to be every winter!

17. Statement Skirt

When everything else going on around you is dull, sad, and dreary, really make an entrance with a skirt that could literally stop traffic. Just like this traffic light-red statement skirt, completely with luxuriously thick fabric and the beautiful belted-bow around the waist, for example. The super-fluffy warm and white sweater works, even though you wouldn’t immediately think of it as the winning top-choice. The two textures just really come together to bring you cute Christmas outfit ideas that are warm, sassy, and oh so sweet!

18. Red & Gold

Black accessories work really well with the black and gold combo, so if you don’t have mustard-yellow or tan to match, opt for the super-safe black. Most of us have black boots of some description in our wardrobe somewhere, and we bet there is a way that you can wear them. Most people probably wouldn’t have put black ankle boots with this red, gold and plaid combo, but it just works in a way that we can’t explain. It’s an outfit we definitely love.

19. Stylish & Warm

Above all else, you need to make sure that you’re wrapping up nice and warm for the impending freezing cold temperatures our good old winter is going to subject us to. Layering up is a great idea, and we can’t express that enough. Don’t forgot about those warming accessories too – the hat, scarf and gloves are all about to make a very serious comeback. The warmer they look, the better you’ll feel, so opt for thicker, knitted textures, and don’t be afraid to add fur (faux-fur, of course) to the mix. You may not like the appeal of fluff around your neck, but it soon starts to come in handy as you pull it in tighter to protect yourself against the cold.

20. Ugly Christmas Sweater

If you love the festive season then you need an ugly Christmas sweater like this one! There are so many amazing sweaters out there from ones that light up to DIY sweaters covered in baubles. Here is one inspired by the movie Home Alone. You can dress a sweater like this up or down to suit any Christmas event.

These cute Christmas outfit ideas really appealed to us, for a number of different reasons too, combining this seasons’s key colours with only the very best trends in accessories and footwear. Which one was your favourite? Don’t forget to let us know. We can’t wait for Christmas to come so that we can practice out cute Christmas outfits!

Let’s face it, we all love makeup, it’s just sometimes makeup doesn’t love us. We’ve all put on the wrong colour foundation, or blended the wrong combination of eyeshadows from our palette. This can lead to a makeup disaster real quick, but with the right knowledge of the colours and shades that work best for your skin tone, you could be well on your way to mastering these easy everyday makeup looks.

1. Pretty Eye Makeup for Blue Eyes

Blue-eyed girls look great with a vast range of shades on their eyes, but shades that work particular well include peach, gold, orange, and brown, and especially this beautiful dusky pink that you can see here.

Here’s another great tip you can learn from this great makeup look also – that light shimmer on the inner corner of the eye can really help to make you light bright-eyed and bushy-tailed when all you really want to do is crawl back underneath the duvet and spend another few years in bed.

2. Matte Brown

Dark eyes really are stunning, and once again, there are a range of shades that you can play around with in your makeup palette. Deeper shades often work better against these deeper eye colours, and blacks, browns, dark greens, navy blues, and even dark greys are all great shades to play around with.

Here you can see a very muted brown / neutral cut crease, with is a lot easier to do once you get your hands on a fluffy blending brush. Incorrect blending doesn’t look great, especially on the one part of your face that everyone will notice – your eyes.

3. Makeup Idea for Green Eyes

Green eyes look really great with purple and lilac shades, but pinks, plums, and variations of all of these often work really well.

A light shimmer on the eyelid is all it takes to brighten up these pretty green eyes, and one thing that women often forget is that quick slick of colour underneath the lower lash line too. This can hide a multitude of sins, including one too many heavy nights out!

4. Smoked Out Winged Liner

For the days when you don’t have time to do a full eyeliner kitten flick, fake it by just using your eyeshadow. In fact, your eyeshadow could come in handy much more often than you think it might.

Take a peek at your palette – the lighter shades are easily flick over the eyelid, and also in place of highlighter when you have none, and the dark shades can work in the place of eyeliner with the right angled brush, and even to work your eyebrows. With a touch of Vaseline, any of the shades in your palette can be made into a lipgloss, and if you have a broken shade, you could even mix it in with clear gloss to make your very own last-minute nail polish too.

5. White Eyeliner

White eyeliner is a really amazing thing to have in your makeup bag, and for a whole host of reasons. You can use it along your lower waterline, just like you can see here, to instantly brighten up the eyes and make you less tired when you need much more sleep than you actually get.

White Eyeliner Everyday Makeup Look

Source: @makeupbyan

You can also use white eyeliner to go over the entire eyelid as a primer for bright eyeshadows too. Every colour looks instantly brighter when it’s been placed against that white backdrop, and it really helps to bring a bold and bright look to life.

6. Bronzey & Glowy

This is a great look for summer, and also for when you really can’t be bothered to do anything else. You can achieve this entire look just using your highlighter and contour palette, you just need to learn how to use it.

The darker shades, again, can be used on the eyebrows as well as for contouring, and if you don’t have any darker eyeshadows to blend into the cut crease of your eye, you could just use the darker shades in your blusher or contour set.

The lips, just like we suggested before, are the nude / rose gold shades of the palette just mixed in with lip gloss of petroleum jelly, and a touch of highlighter all over always helps to make you look (and feel) more awake. Plus, the whole look will only take five to ten minutes.

7. Natural Makeup Look

Isn’t it funny how the most natural of makeup looks always seem to take the longest? If you want an easy way to get this simple and neutral look, a nude palette is definitely the way forward. As we’ve already stated, you can use everything in your palette on your face, making it the most versatile bit of kit you’ll ever invest in, and learning to use your highlighter properly is always a very good trick. Highlighter can make you look awake even when you haven’t slept for a week! (Thankfully!)

That slick of white eyeliner in the lower lash / waterline once again helps to make you appear more alert, and it also helps to make your eyes look bigger too. And don’t be afraid to leave the eyeliner alone from time to time. Sometimes it’s good to let your skin breathe, and in order to achieve this, basic, barely-there makeup is perfect.

8. No Makeup Makeup

This no-makeup, makeup look shows how important a decent brow is. Your brow can instantly transform the way your face looks, and a quick tidy-up is never to be underestimated.

If you only have time to do two things in the morning before you rush out the door, we’d suggest a few minutes getting your eyebrows “on fleek”, and add some mascara. We’ll even admit to using last night’s makeup a couple of times to get this barely-there look … Multitasking!

9. Everyday Winged Liner

For when you don’t have time to do total eyeliner, but the thought of using no eyeliner in your makeup regime fills you with dread, how about this? It’s an everyday winged liner look that actually doesn’t take too long to achieve.

Because the eyeliner isn’t completely over the eyelid, getting it spot on will only take you half the time, and it’s much easier to get those outer flicks right than the inner bits, don’t you think? There are so many tutorials, particularly on Instagram, on how to achieve the perfect eyeliner flick, and we’d suggest watching a few. Picking up a few makeup hacks here and there is never a bad thing.

10. Pink Lips

Who doesn’t love a baby-pink pop? We certainly do, and that’s why we fell a little bit in love with this pink lipped look, one of the easy everyday makeup looks you should definitely jump on.

In order to get beautiful, luscious lips like this, you’re going to need to start with a good base, and that means taking care of your pucker-ups! Make sure you always carry a lip balm with you, especially when the weather gets particularly hot, or particularly cold. Try to look for lip products that contain some sort of SPF too – this will help to protect them from the powerful ray of the sun, which can burn you even when it’s not that hot or sunny outside.

Celebrated in the USA and in Canada, Thanksgiving originally started as a way to give thanks for a great harvest, and to wish for a great harvest in the coming year too. That’s why we’ve decided to take a closer look at some easy DIY Thanksgiving decorations. Taking you back to basics, you’ll get a chance to get crafty with things you probably already have in your home.

You could even get the kids involved with some of these delights, most of which we fully intend to recreate for ourselves.

If you were looking for a way to up-cycle all those plastic pumpkins you had leftover from Halloween, this is a really great idea.  Just turn them into a centerpiece for your Thanksgiving dinner table. It really helps for setting that great Thanksgiving-y mood.

A little bit of spray paint can instantly give those old accessories a new lease of life, and you could match them to your interior decor too. These have been left the traditional pumpkin-orange colour, as well as white. We can’t help but think that black would work also.

2. Cinnamon Stick Candles

How many boring, non-scented candles do you have lying around your home that you never end up lighting because they just don’t smell pretty? Now you have a way to use up those old non-scented candles, giving them new life with the help of some well-placed cinnamon sticks.

Add the cinnamon sticks to the outside of the candle, throw some string into the mix to keep everything in place, and what do you have? Simple, easy DIY Thanksgiving decorations that everyone will ask where you got them from, that’s what.

3. Easy & Eye-Catching Decor

For the smaller pumpkins that the kids couldn’t carve into, what about making them into a centrepiece of their own, painting them gold and white. Perhaps even leave them their original colour, before placing in a large glass vase.

You could fairy lights if you wanted to, and you could even submerge plastic pumpkins in water, fragranced floating candles at the top. There’s loads of ways in which you could use them, you just need to get a little creative.

4. Wheat Sheave Wreath

Its the simplest of ideas, and you’ll often find wheat sheave bundles like this in your local dollar store, making it one of the cheapest easy DIY Thanksgiving decorations.

You’ll just need some large and brightly coloured ribbon to wrap around the wheat stalks, and then you can use your fingers to tousle them out slightly, giving them this fanned look. Throw a hook on the back, and then hang from your front door. You have a great little decoration that won’t break the bank.

5. Pumpkin Vase Centerpiece

You know those leftover pumpkins that are going cheap in the supermarket after Halloween? There’s a chance you may even have a few of them going spare in your back garden? You know, because you didn’t quite get the chance to carve them like you promised you would? Here’s a good idea of  what you can do with them – use them as a vase for your orange and autumnal themed flowers to go into, before placing it at the centre of the dinner table.

Its a a great way of using what you already have at your disposal. Your Thanksgiving decorations really don’t need to break the bank this year!

6. Paper Leaf & Branch Decor

This is such a good idea, and one of the easy DIY Thanksgiving decorations that you could totally recreate with the kids over am weekend. The aim of the game is to take them out for a walk in your local park to look for some gigs, branches and sticks. On the way home, grab some childproof scissors and coloured paper if you don’t already have some. It’s time to get crafty.

The walk will tire them out, so the kids will be more likely to sleep that night. If that doesn’t work, the arts and crafts bit will  give  them something to do to keep them quiet. Plus, how much trouble can get they get into just making Thanksgiving themed shapes and hanging them from a tree branches?

7. Pumpkin Candle Holders

If you have some old pumpkin-shaped decorations about, you could always make these easy DIY Thanksgiving decorations. It’s all a simple case of drilling or filing out enough space that a tea light candle will slide in there.

This is not advisable with plastic pumpkin decorations, as it will very obviously melt as the candle gets got, but the pumpkin scent will start to fill the room. If that doesn’t set the Thanksgiving mood, we don’t know what will.

8. Golden Leaf

Another great idea of something to do with the kids. You can make hundreds of these, and even larger ones, to decorate not only your own home, but also the homes of others too. With a few cheap frames, some leaves you picked up with the kids, and some paint, you have an afternoon activity to keep the youngsters amused on rainy days.

Not only that, you can come up with some pretty beautiful, one of a kind, unique pieces of art using these nature-based techniques. The grandparents will love them wrapped up for Christmas. Just saying …

9. Thanksgiving Table Idea

And for when you have more pumpkins than you know what to do with, what about this Thanksgiving table idea? Why not use lots of different (or the same, just painted different) fall-themed decorations to bring together one beautiful harvest-like look?

If you have mini pumpkins already, these will literally only take five minutes to make yourself. You will need to give them drying time though. Just paint them with any colour you like and give the stalks a wonderful gold finish, just to make them look super luxurious. Just because they’re easy DIY Thanksgiving decorations doesn’t mean they can get away with being cheap or shoddy!

10. Floral Stem Wreath

If you’ve got old floral decor that you no longer appreciate, give it a new lease of life by spraying them. Then attach them to a small circular frame, just like you can see here, to create an easy floral stem wreath.

You could recycle an old Thanskgiving wreath, or even old Christmas wreaths, and instantly give them a new lease of life with that lick of paint we told you about. Changing the colours from red, green and gold, to orange, brown and black is just what it takes to make things look nice and Thanksgiving-y.

Sienna Miller recently rocked the rose gold hair trend, and because it’s been seen in Hollywood, we all want a piece of the action. Lauren Conrad opted for a rose gold dip dye, Ellie Goulding went a more pastel / pinky shade of rose gold hair, and even Katy Perry has had a go at it.

It’s time for you to take the leap. If you’re looking for a little more rose gold hair inspiration, you might want to take a peek at some of these …

1. Rose Gold Balayage

The rose gold balayage look is one of the easiest. You get to rock the newest on-trend shade without committing to the colour all over your locks. The spiral waves help to show off all the shades in your new ‘do, and it’s a super easy look for when you don’t want to mess around too much with heavy-duty, high maintenance roots. When you head to your hairstylist, make sure you ask for a ‘brunette to rose gold balayage’. Give it a couple of hours with a talented stylist and you could have a beautiful new look like this one.

2. Rose Gold Highlights

When you don’t want a balayage, why not opt for rose gold highlights? Highlights work more at the top than at the bottom like you’ll see with a balayage style, but they are more recognisable when you’re growing them out. Roots with highlights are harder to maintain than with the darker, more natural balayage dip-dye. The latter is also easier to achieve with a more natural, hand-painted finish.

3. Rose Gold Highlights on Lighter Hair

If you’re looking for an all-over rose gold look you should be aware that this colour won’t last as long as some of the other shades you may have worn. This rose gold lob is a prime example – it’ll fade a lot quicker. It’s a pastel shade which means it automatically fades much quicker. You’ll probably be looking at re-doing your shade every 5 to 7 washes. This will all depend on how well your hair takes to the new shade.

4. Rose Gold Lob

Before you go ahead and put your rose gold hair color ideas into practice, do your research. If you do, you’ll learn that you should be applying deep conditioning treatments to your hair for at least three or four weeks before the appointment is booked. That bleaching and lightening won’t be good for your hair. By making sure it’s in good condition to start with, the negative effects will be minimal. The healthier your hair is when you start, the healthier it’ll look when it’s finished. Everyone knows that bad-condition colored hair just looks awful. Do your prep work, ladies!

5. Curly Style

Just because you have crazy curly hair doesn’t mean you can’t play around with color too. In fact, there’s nothing we love more than this curly style of rose gold, one that some people might find too unmanageable. Luckily we’ve got some tricks up our sleeve… Coconut oil is great for everything these days. If you apply a deep-conditioning coconut oil hair mask to your hair BEFORE you decide to have lightening treatments, you’ll find your hair will be much more manageable afterwards. Coconut oil is now a beauty staple as far as we are concerned.

6. Rose Gold Ombre on Dark Hair

Dark hair looks amazing with a contrasting pastel shade, and this rose gold ombre on dark hair is literally #hairgoals! The good news about this is that you will only be lightening the ends of your hair. The even better news about this is that it doesn’t matter when your roots grow out. In fact, in many cases, the roots just add to the appeal. Have a look at the celebrities these days – they’ve all got dark / alternate / contrasting colored roots these days. It’s the ‘in’ thing!

7. Light Rose Gold Hair

Just because Emma Roberts has a bright shade of rose gold hair doesn’t mean that you need to. Sometimes you may need to play around with new shades and tones, especially if you have a particular dark or light complexion. You should be working with your hair colourist to find a shade that matches your skin tone, not one that means you need to slap on a few extra layers of makeup just to make it work. This is quite a light color of hair to pick, and with a light complexion you may find that you look a little washed out. If this is the case for you, warmer tones and slightly deeper shades might work better.

8. Fall Rose Gold

This look is perfect for Fall – subtle, discreet, beautiful, and combining all our favourite colors of the season – russet browns and reds with caramel blondes. This might just be the ultimate September / October shade… If you want to recreate this look, ask your hairstylist for a subtle balayage rose gold blend at the bottom, leaving the roots natural and dark. When your natural roots come through, they won’t be so obvious (especially if you have darker hair anyway), and it’s a style that will last. You can get away with leaving it an extra couple of weeks between salon appointments.

9. Dusty Rose Gold

Rose gold hair is beautiful, so it’s no wonder that every celebrity is jumping on the bandwagon. Incorporating mixes of red, blonde and pink together has never been so much fun. Although you should probably be wary of the ginger-factor when it fades. Peachy-pink shades will look more orange as they lighten and fade, although there are things you can do to stop the fade from happening so quickly. Starting with a good colour, and a good colourist, is always a good idea. You can top the colours up yourself at home, but getting that initial perfect first look is often the hardest part.

10. Blonde & Rose Gold

Blonde and rose gold hair is the perfect combination as far as we are concerned, and blonde hair is actually the perfect base for any pastel pop. This peachy-pinky one is an absolute winner, natural enough to fit in, but beautiful and bold enough to stand-out, all at the same time. Fading out this rose gold look is easier when you go for a more pastel-pink than red/orange tone. We would also suggest using a silver shampoo as you’re trying to fade it out too – it makes the ‘pastel-ness’ last a little bit longer.

11. Bob Style

Short hair also rocks this rose gold beauty on a brand new level. If we were to describe this look in one word, it would be FIERCE! It’ll fade wonderfully to a dusky-pink shade, and the darker roots will just add to the intensity over time. The edgy cut just adds to the appeal, of course, a ‘Lob’ (long bob) with length at the front and kept shorter at the back. Flicking the hair over to one side like you can see helps to make it more ‘asymmetrical’, a very modern and edgy look.

12. Subtle Rose Gold Hair

If you want to achieve these beautiful rose old hair looks yourself at home, there are a lot of things you’ll need to bear in mind. That’s why we would always suggest going to a hairdressing salon to achieve it. The pre-treatments will include bleaching and lightening, and this will have a detrimental effect on your hair – drying it out and causing it to become brittle and broken. Conditioner will be your best friend with a look as bold and bright as this, and a spray-on / leave-in conditioner can work wonders. May we suggest one containing an ingredient called Argan oil? We’ve had great results with it!

13. Rose Gold Hair Painting

One thing you should definitely bear in mind when trying to achieve these rose gold hair ideas is that the colors you buy on the high street are usually just temporary colors. They are designed to wash-out over time. A look as bright and beautiful as this one will need regular maintenance. You will need to take into consideration the amount of time you’ll need to spend revitalising your ‘do. You may even want to consider throwing some of your color into the shampoo and conditioner you’re using. This trick works in much the same way as using a color-build up product such as pink shampoo or conditioner, or any other color.

14. Dusty Rose Gold Balayage

A great way to rock these rose gold hair color ideas is with a look like this one. The natural blondes and deeper browns have been cleverly hand-painted alongside sparkling rose gold sections, bringing together a subtle look that has a bunch of different shades thrown in. Beautifully bold, but it still looks natural enough to wear on a daily basis. It’s like ombre but with an oomph, and what’s not to love about that?

15. Touch of Rose Gold

When it comes to taking care of your rose gold hair color ideas, you will need to take a good look at the ingredients within the products you’re using. For example, if you see ‘sulfates’ in your shampoo, avoid using it and instead look for something that says, “sulfate-free”. It won’t take long for this shade to fade, especially if you’re a regular hair-washer, but sulfates in your shampoo and conditioner will cause your color to fade much quicker. Over time it’ll cost you a fortune in touch-ups and salon trips.

16. Dark Rose Gold Ombre

If you’ve had a blonde balayage at the bottom of your dark hair, why not liven things up for a while? If you’re bored of the blonde, and you’ve had enough of caramel balayage looks, adding a pop of color might just be the trick to bring a brand new spin on things. Simply add a toned down red mixed with the pink to the blonde at the ends of your natural balayage look, and you’ll have something that definitely rocks! Everyone will be asking where you got it.

17. Another Gorgeous Balayage Work

Once you’ve gone to the salon and you’re happy with your rose hold hair color, it’s time to go shopping for some brand new hair products. You’ll need to use a shampoo and conditioner that is specific to coloured hair if you want it to last for a while. It’s always a great idea to buy one specific to your hair colour. This is actually getting easier with pastel shades. There are plenty of toners and shampoo / conditioner products that help to ‘build up’ the product over time, giving you an added boost when you need it.

18. Textured Lob + Rose Gold Balayage

Before you opt for a great color change, such as looking towards these rose gold hair color ideas, make sure you have hair that is in good condition. If your hairdresser suggests a good cut or trim beforehand, listen to them. Having those dead ends may add a few inches to your locks, but it’ll also suck the good stuff out of your hair. The good quality hair won’t get as many nutrients because the bad quality hair is sucking them all out. What’s the point in that? It’s a much better idea just to cut those dead ends off first. It’ll also help your hair to grow longer in the long-run too!

19. Beautiful Highlights

One thing that’s shown to be very good at revitalising colored and heavily treated hair is a protein mask. There are plenty on the market these days, and when you consider that hair is made up of proteins, it just makes sense to throw some nourishment into the mix. When your hair feels scratchy and like straw after a bleach or color session, the protein in the mask can help to make it feel softer. It’ll also help to boost hydration levels, something necessary for colored hair.

20. Peekaboo Rose Gold Highlights

When you consider that many of the peach and pink dyes you can get these days are either temporary or semi-permanent, a peekaboo look like this is much more easily achieved. You can put this in your hair on a Friday night, have a great time at whatever occasion you wanted the hair for, and then wash it out thoroughly on Saturday and then Sunday, for it to be faded enough to head back to work on Monday. These temporary and semi-permanent colors are a great way for you to experiment with looks you wouldn’t normally be brave enough to try. You can also incorporate your new tones and shades in with your existing natural color, making these rose gold hair color ideas easy to wear on a daily basis.

21. Rose Gold Hair with Ribbons of Baby Pink

This baby pink / rose gold look is like adding highlights, but instead of subtle blondes or light-bouncing brunettes, a touch of color really brings the look to life. You’d certainly look at this look twice in the street if it were to pass you by. Having vertical stripes like this can also hep to give the illusion of longer hair when you’ve gone for the chop. You can also add some textured layers at the end to add a 3D feel. That’s what highlights are meant to do after all.

22. Short Bob Style

We love bobs, and we love braids. We also love rose gold hair colors, so when you think about it, this look is simply perfect. Going for the chop is a really brave move, too brave for some women, although there are a lot of benefits to having your hair cut super short. It gives you a chance to ‘start again’ – chopping the dead ends and split-ends, allowing the healthy hair at the top to soak up all the nutrients and hydration it needs.

23. Rose Gold Metallic Lowlights

This is such a beautiful look, and one you can easily achieve at home with the use of hair chalks. These are exactly as the name suggests … chalk that you rub onto your hair to give it a patch of color. If you want a rose gold tint for just one night only, hair chalks are the perfect way to do it. You simply wash them out when you’re done with them. No one would ever know the riotous weekend you had!

24. Beautiful Rose Gold Hair with Loose Waves

Glam up your look with a hairstyle like this one! The hair featured here starts off in a light brown shade and then it gradually blends into a stunning rose gold color. 25. Pastel and Rose Gold Hair

The next rose gold idea we have to show you has a pastel pink tone. For this look, the hair is dark at the root and then changes into a gorgeous rose gold color. The hair was colored with sparkling rosé & starfish coral. It is a vibrant and beautiful look that is perfect for the ladies that want to stand out from the crowd.

26. Light Rose Gold Hair Idea

You don’t have to choose bold rose gold colors, you can choose a light one like this. This short hairstyle features a soft and subtle rose gold shade. A color like this is perfect for the women who want to try rose gold but don’t want hair that is too pink. You can recreate the trendy cut and color or you can use a similar color on any hairstyle.

27. Rose Gold and Purple Hair

One of the great things about rose gold is that it will compliment almost any other color. That means that you can choose rose gold highlights, ombre or balayage and have confidence that it will look fabulous with the color you already have or want. Here is a beautiful example. This is a cute bob that starts in a light purple shade and then it blends to rose gold towards the tips. The color combo is stunning and it will give you a statement making hairstyle.

28. Dark Hair with Rose Gold Highlights

Speaking of rose gold highlights, our next idea shows a gorgeous example of a highlighted hairstyle. Here we have a blunt cut bob with dark roots. The look is finished off with light blonde and rose gold highlights. As you can see, it is a trendy style and the rose gold gives the hair a lift. Recreate the funky bob or try any other highlighted style.

29. Trendy Rose Gold Braids

Our next idea is perfect for the trendsetting ladies! Here we have a two braid hairstyle where all the hair is colored in a pastel rose gold color. Hair like this is bold and statement making. Try a pastel shade like this or you can go lighter or darker. Either way, this is a cool style that will look amazing in the summer.

30. Subtle Rose Gold Hair

Next, we have a subtle rose gold color. Now, the whole hairstyle is bold because the color is bright but the actual shade of rose gold is light and toned down. It just gives the hair a more blonde look with a hint of rose. This is a stunning shade of rose gold that will suit everyone. Try full head color like this or try highlights or balayage.

31. Light Pink to Rose Gold Hair

Look pretty in pink with this next hairstyle. Here we have another bob but this one starts off in light pastel pink and then blends to rose gold. The color change is so subtle but it really does make a statement. Recreate this hairstyle for a beautiful pink look or you can choose darker shades.

32. Glam Rose Gold Hair Color

If you are looking for a glamorous hairstyle then this is for you. The hair is dark at the root and then it changes to a warm rose gold shade. We love this rose gold color because it is so stylish and it almost has a glow. Hair like this would be great for the ladies that want a complete hair transformation.

33. Pretty Pink and Rose Gold Hair

The next hairstyle we have to show you looks magical! This is another style where the hair starts dark and then changes into a rose gold color. The rose gold used here is shining, shimmering and beautiful. It would be perfect for the ladies who love the unicorn hair trend. This color will suit everyone.

34. Pastel Rose Gold Bob

Next, we have another pastel hairstyle. The hair is a light pink shade with added rose gold. It is a gorgeous color idea that will brighten up your look for the spring and summer. The color combination is beautiful and it will suit any hair length. You can recreate this look or you can add more rose gold to tone down the pink.

35. Trendy Rose Gold Short Hair

Our next hairstyle is trendy and bold. For this look, the hair is cut into a short style. It is shaved around the sides and it is longer on the top. The hair around the sides is a rose gold shade and the hair on top is a beautiful pink color. Try the color and cut if you want to be daring.

36. Subtle Rose Gold with Dark Hair

Earlier in the post we featured a bright hairstyle with a subtle rose gold color. This idea is a little similar. The hair starts off in a very dark color and then the hair changes into a light rose gold shade. Even though the rose gold is subtler, it still does make a statement because of the contrast. Try a hairstyle like this for an ombre look or you can choose a lighter root color.

37. Elegant Rose Gold Idea

Rose gold can be such an elegant color. This hairstyle is a beautiful example. The hair is a dark tone and then it blends into a pink rose gold shade. It looks amazing with the updo and hair like this looks straight out of a fairy tale. The style and color will be a gorgeous choice for a special occasion.

38. Rose Gold Curls

The next hairstyle has a gorgeous pink look. All of the hair is colored in light pink with hints of rose gold. We love this color because it is a darker tone than some of the others we have featured. It is a stunning hair color and it will suit any hairstyle. Try curls like featured for an elegant and trendy look.

And we think all of these rose gold hair color ideas are stunning! Which one would you call your favorite? Which one has you rushing to the salon? How many of them did you fall in love with? (Because for us, it was basically all of them, one after the other.) We can’t wait to see what you come up with a result of this wonderful hair inspiration!

Need a hand finding nails to go with your costume this year? Are you having a hard time finding creative Halloween nail art ideas that really stand out? There’s no need to panic ladies – we’ve brought you a whole host of wonderful creations, all begging to be rocked for Halloween this year. The question is, which one would you kill for?

1. Ombre Matte Nails + Spider Accent Nail

Matte nails are a big thing right now, and you can easily achieve matte nails whatever colour or shade you’re packing underneath, just by adding a matte top coat. It instantly dulls down the shine of whatever nail polish you put it over the top of.

Ombre nails are also much more easily achieved than you first may have thought, and the best tool for this job is one of those triangular makeup sponges. You paint a line or red, and then a line of black, making sure they overlap a tad. Press the sponge on your nail and when you take it away, and in conclusion you should be left with something that looks like this. Add that matte top coat, and what do you have? Creative Halloween nail art ideas that everyone will love.

2. Cute Bat Design for Short Nails

Bats have been associated with Halloween for many years, but actually the history isn’t all that scary … Sorry to disappoint you.

Back in the ancient times when people would light bonfires to celebrate All Hallow’s Eve, small bugs would flock towards the light and crackle of the fire, and this would also attract flying creatures that wanted to eat the small bugs … just like bats.

Bats really aren’t so bad. In fact, we think they happen to be quite cute, and if you love them too, why not consider this cute bat design for short nails to complete your Halloween look for 2016?

3. Bright & Creative

Back in the days when All Hallow’s Eve began, pumpkins weren’t used to make those Jack O’Lanterns at all. In fact, it was turnips! To be fair, carving a turnip doesn’t really have the same ring to it.

Luckily, these pumpkin Halloween-themed nails do, and we can’t wait for the big day to come around so that we can rock them. Anything pumpkin related suits us just fine, in fact.

4. Cute Frankenstein Nails

When you’re working with glitter nail polish, use this smart tip to make sure it doesn’t prove a right pain in the ass to get rid of the next day … Because you know your boss will have the right hump about it, and that’s more hassle than you need. Especially if you have a slight hangover to boot.

Instead of applying a base coat, try using a coat of Elmer’s glue (or PVA glue in the UK) instead. That stuff just peels off when you’re done with it, which is exactly what’ll happen to that glitter nail polish you normally don’t bother with because it’s more hassle than it’s worth for just one night and day …

5. Bloody French Tip Stiletto Nails

It’s time to get creative now. If your favourite nail shape is the pointed / stiletto, you’re missing a golden opportunity if you don’t opt for bloody French tip stiletto nails. You can even make these beauties textured, and you know how much we love textured nails!

The nails themselves have been left neutral, and if you don’t have super long nails, you can get away with buying cheap falsies from your local drug store to wear for just one night only. You’re going to cover them with red nail polish anyway. If you want to make them textured, pour superglue over the nail (carefully), and let it dry in lumps like this. Cover with nail polish, red obviously, and you too could have totally killer talons.

6. Cute & Easy Spider Nails

As well as black cats and bats, spiders are a well known associated creature with Halloween, and that’s not just down to the fact that so many people have a phobia of them – arachnophobia.

There are loads of superstitions surrounding these eight-legged creatures, and one of the ones we love the most is that when you see a spider on Halloween – 31st October – it means a dead relative is looking over you. Spiders on your nails totally counts, right?

7. Halloween Toes

If you ever wondered where the term ‘Jack O’Lantern’ came from, we’ve found out. Are you ready for it? The name stems from an old Irish myth / legend, and there was once a man called Jack who had apparently screwed over the Devil a little. Well, a few times actually.

Halloween Toe Nail Art Design

Source: @balis.balis

It was said that he was forbidden to enter either Hell or Heaven and because of that, he was destined the walk the earth forever, holding his lantern and trying to get people to lose their way. What a spooky story!

8. Jack O’Lantern Accent Nails

Trick-or-treating, on the other hand, doesn’t come from Irish folklore at all. This goes back to Celtic times, when the ancient Celtic lot used to put food and other treats out at night for Samhaim. This was a festival that ‘treated’ the ghosts and ghouls and prevented them from stealing the souls of the living and causing them harm.

Samhaim itself was to mark the end of the calendar year for the ancient Celtics, quite the opposite to what we celebrate today. Although, who really cares when you’re celebrating it in style, just like with these Halloween nail art ideas?

9. Spooky Silhouettes

For a while, Halloween was also known as ‘Hallowmas’ and to be honest, it’s pretty much what it sounds like. It’s like the modern day trick-or-treating as we know it now, but the Christian precursor if you like?

On November 1st, rather than October 31st, the poor people would knock on doors, offering up their prayers for the souls no longer with us in exchange for food, such as soul cakes.

10. Blood Splatter Coffin Nails

What do you think about these blood spatter coffin nails rather than your regular nail shape? They’re super simple to recreate, and all you need is a white nail polish, and a really glossy red nail polish. You could even use a straw to ‘blow’ this design across the nails and make it look more murder-like.

Coffin nails are a great in-trend nail shape right now and because of that, we’d definitely recommend you check these beauties out for yourself. Long nails aren’t for everyone, but for Halloween, you can’t really get much spookier!

Let’s face it, when it comes to Halloween there’s no such thing as ‘overdoing’ it when it comes to decorating. When you have kids, the festivities are even more heightened. Even if you don’t, the trick-or-treating kids on your block won’t let you be a ghoul about the entire affair. If you’re not jumping on the DIY Halloween decorations bandwagon, you just don’t know what you’re missing.

1. Ghost Cloches

The good news is that these DIY Halloween decorations are super easy, and with a bit of clever handiwork, your house could look like something out of a horror film too.

We love the spooky ghosts here and they’re easily made with cotton wool balls, complete with cut-out black pieces of paper to recreate the eyes and mouth. It’s easy, and definitely one the kids could get involved with. You could even spray-paint those candle holder-bottoms to match your decor too … Or just spooky black and orange.

2. Black and White BOO Pumpkins

And if you happen to have a few pumpkins lying around, why not incorporate them into your DIY Halloween decorations too? With the help of a can of spray paint, you too could have beautiful white / cream pumpkins like you can see here, and you could use a stencil to help you create those black letters.

We love the ‘BOO’ that has been used here, but you could have the numbers of your house, the initials of your family, anything you liked really. You could even add more pumpkins, or just have one pumpkin. Why not let the kids decide?

3. Black and White Halloween Vignette

Think of all the things Halloween-y you could get together, and then throw them all together in one centre-piece for your home. You’d have a Christmas tree, wouldn’t you? So why wouldn’t you have a Halloween wall?

Have as much or as little as you liked with this one – black card or paper used to recreate those witchy hats, or you could always just buy those for cheap enough in your local dollar / pound store. You could pick up white sticks whilst walking in the woods with your kids, and those can be spray painted white if you wanted this monochrome Halloween look. What about spraying them different colours to match your decor. Add candles, even decorate the candles, add little pumpkins, add anything spooky you liked really. We’re totally using this one as inspiration.

4. Googly Ghosts

Another super-easy DIY Halloween decorations idea – googly ghosts. Because they’re cute and funny all rolled into one. The kids are going to love these little guys.

You could stick these googly eyes onto anything – they’ve self-adhesive – and once you start playing around, you’ll learn how much fun you can have with them. Before long you’ll be sticking them on everything … Or watching the people on the internet stick them on everything.

5. Hocus Pocus Wreath

It’s one of our favourite Halloween movies. In fact, it’s one of our favourite movies full stop. The one, the only, Hocus Pocus. But which witch was your favourite? For us, it’s got to be Sarah Jessica Parker. No, Bette Midler’s character. She was a little legend.

Hocus Pocus Halloween Wreath

Source: etsy.com

This Hocus Pocus wreath is not only really cool to look at, it uses two of the classic colours associated with All Hallow’s Eve – black and orange. The black was to symbolise death and destruction, the usual colour of mourning, and the orange was for the harvest, for the original reasons of Samhaim and why the festivities came about in the first place. Something to think about with your DIY Halloween decorations, right?

6. Creative No-Carve Pumpkins

If, like us, you really hate carving pumpkins because of the mess, smell, and the loads of pumpkin-stuff that you then need to find something to use it for, why not decorate your pumpkin rather than carve it out?

Black White Gold Creative No-Carve Pumpkins

These have been painted and studded, but you could add lace, spray paint them, use stencils, add decoupage, embellishments, and more. You could really let the kids go to town with this pumpkin decorating idea, and not just the little kids – you too!

7. Spooky Halloween Candles

These spooky DIY Halloween decorations look really complicated but they’re actually super-easy to make. You just need to know the tricks of the trade. Don’t worry, we’re about to share them with you. These are too fabulous NOT to share!

Easy Halloween Candle DIY

Source: wohnen-und-garten.de

There are quite a few ways to recreate this kind of look, and the good news is once you’ve learned how to do this for your DIY Halloween decorations, you can then go ahead and use similar ideas for Christmas, birthday’s, Valentines Day, etc… Soon you won’t ever need to buy a new seasonal decoration ever again! 😉

One of the easiest ways to get the Halloween silhouette for your candle is to print out a black and white design onto white paper. Cut the design out, and then tape it, like a roll of wrapping paper, around the candle jar. When the tea-light or candle is lit within, it’ll light up whatever is on the outside of the paper just like you can see here.

8. Halloween Mason Jars

Have you ever collected loads of old food jars because you “might need them one day”, only to never really find a reason to use them again, and ending up with a cupboard filled with glass jars and lids that you can’t bear to part with. Well, your DIY Halloween decorations are a great excuse to get them out and use them, and this is definitely one the kids can go crazy with.

Halloween Spider Mason Jars Decoration

Source: cafemom.com

These make great Halloween candle holders, although you do need to remember that the top needs to be left open. If you close the jam jar, the candle will go out because of the lack of oxygen, but you knew that right? Decorate the outside of the jar in whatever designs and styles you (or the kids) like, stick some tea-light candles inside, and see what happens when the lights go out and the fire is lit …

9. Porch Decoration

It’s quite a simple idea really – that’s a large coat / hat rack underneath a bed sheet, and different sizes of (christmas-tree-style) lights have been used to illuminate things from the inside. It’s the eyes and the mouth that give the game away, three circles make from black paper or, if you have none, some black garbage bags instead. Just tape them in place.

It’s such a simple idea, and perfect for when you’ve left everything to the last minute and literally have no other idea how to Halloween your house up. You could even create a family of ghosts if you wanted to get really inventive – getting smaller in size!

10. Wriggling Snake Wreath

What do you get when you spray paint an older twig-style wreath with black matte paint, and then superglue / glue-gun a bunch of plastic rubber snakes around it, also spray-painted black? A spooky wreath that’s perfect for Halloween, that’s what. We bet this one would have been running away and screaming from the front door … leaving more candy left for you!

You could make a wreath from twigs and branches you find, or you could use the old Christmas wreath that’s been lying around in the attic for a while. You could spray-paint the wreath with a whole bunch of colours too – it could be orange instead of the black you see here. In fact, you could make it any colour you wanted! DIY Halloween decorations gone wild!

Having a hard time trying to find a costume idea that suits both you and your significant other? It’s hard work trying to find something that not just one, but two people, can agree on, and to make life a little easier, we’ve decided to bring you some of the best. These 23 easy Halloween costumes for couples don’t take oodles of planning, and they won’t cost you a small fortune either. With some planning and preparation, you could have the coolest costume on the block, and you won’t need to stress yourself out to get it!

1. Mime Couple

It would be super awesome if Halloween this year could fall on a full moon, right? Sadly, although it’s often depicted in the many spooky and Halloween-themed movies, the full moon itself very rarely happens. The last one we experienced on All Hallow’s Eve was back in 2001, and before that it was in 1955. The next one isn’t expected to come until 2020. Will you be saving your best Halloween costume for then?

No, we didn’t think so. And with a costume as good as this mime couple one, why would you even want to? The basic items are very simple – black trousers and shorts, stockings perhaps for the lady, a couple of striped shirts, and plenty of white makeup. You couldn’t get much simpler than that.

2. Pop Art Zombie Couple

Halloween is actually a Wiccan thing, and it all started somewhere quite surprising. Everyone thinks that All Hallow’s Eve is an American thing, but it actually started in Scotland, Ireland, and also in the Isle of Man.

When you’re putting on your fabulous and easy Halloween costumes for couples, you should probably be aware that the celebrations originated from an old Celtic tradition, and back then, it was called something very different – ‘Samhaim’. It symbolised the end of their year, and they believed this was the day that fairies and other spirits could cross the lines into our world.

3. Bees + Beekeeper

There is an actual thing as a fear of bees, and it’s called ‘melissophobia’. (We knew it was a real thing! We also definitely have it!) Why not freak everyone out at the party, and go in something that is guaranteed to strike the fear of God in most people throughout the summer?

Bee and Beekeeper Couple Halloween Costume

Source: @dmiao8

The bee and beekeeper costume is one of our favorites, and we all know someone who has this bee delight stuffed away in their fancy dress box somewhere. The dog is a super excellent touch. Every costume is even more amazing with a fancy-dress-dog!

4. Terrance and Katie (South Park)

If you want to hold a Halloween party with a seriously spooky edge, you need to head to Ohio. Lewisburg in Ohio, to be precise. There’s an abandoned mine-cave around eighty feet below the ground, and it’s haunted. So haunted, in fact, that it’s actually the Guinness World Record holder for the longest haunted house in the world.

Back to the here and now however, and what do you think about this South Park themed Halloween costume? You could easily make those faces out of bits of cardboard, and they’re so simple, you could even get the kids involved to help you for a fun weekend activity.

5. Chuck Noland (Tom Hanks) + Wilson

What do you need for easy Halloween costumes for couples such as this Tom Hanks as Chuck Noland, and Wilson combo? You need cargo shorts and a red tea-towel wrapped around his head.

For her costume, a white t-shirt, a pair of jeans or joggers (whatever you have to hand), a white headband, and a white piece of cardboard painted to look just like Wilson. Super simple, and actually pretty hilarious too!

6. Bob Ross Painting his Happy Tree

Did anyone love art as much as Bob Ross did? No, we don’t think so either, so we think this great couple’s Halloween costume is a great tribute to the artist, instructor, painter and TV host who was more famously known for The Joy of Painting.

Bob Ross Couple Easy Halloween Costume Idea

The costume itself is super simple to recreate yourself, and you just need a few things – brown top and trousers for her, jeans and a blue shirt for him, that big afro wig if you weren’t blessed with crazy curly hair, and plenty of leaves. Now all you need to do is arts & crafts nuts! (Maybe let the kids join to keep them occupied for a couple of hours!)

7. Tooth Fairy + Dentist

What’s scarier than the dentist? We HATE the dentist, and most of the population of the world does too. There are loads of different names for the phobia of dentists – dentist phobia, dental anxiety, dental phobia, odontophobia, dentophobia … whatever you want to call it, every trip is NOT pleasant.

Another of the super simple and easy Halloween costumes for couples, you could get really creative with this one. We can’t wait to see what you lot come up with!

8. 1920s Couple

This 1920’s couple is such as classic look, and with the 20’s style recently coming back into fashion, buying clothes like this for him and her is actually going to be easier than you’d think. There’s no need to go running to the fancy dress store for this one.

The 1920’s were a great decade, with more and more people venturing into towns and cities rather than living on the outskirts and on farms. During this decade, the economic growth of the USA doubled … It was a time of luxury, that’s for sure.

9. Old Couple

The best thing about this old couple Halloween costume is that you can recreate it just by raiding your Grandparents’ or parents’ closets! Not that we’re saying being old is scary or anything. Okay, fine, we admit it … We’re a little scared of getting old. There, we said it.

Did you know that the largest Halloween parade in the world is actually in America, not where the festivities first started in the first place at all! If you head to New York City on All Hallow’s Eve, you’ll be joining over two million other spectators, and you can’t forget about the fifty thousand odd people who participate in the parade itself. You’re going to want a costume to stand out against all those other people. Is this Granny & Grandpa costume going to do just that?

10. The Fifth Element

Here’s a super fun Halloween fun fact for you – 30,128 Jack O’Lanterns is the most ever lit at once, and that’s a world record held by the town of Boston in Massachusetts. Funnily enough, Massachusetts also claim to be the Halloween capital of the world too, but they’ve got stiff competition from the likes of Anoka in Minnesota, and Salem too.

Talking of all things orange (which we were), fight off all the costume competition with this little wonder – simple to recreate, funny to look at, and definitely one that’ll get people talking for all the right reasons!

If there’s one thing harder than trying to find matching costumes for you and your BAE, it’s trying to find matching costumes for you and your BFF. Finding something that pleases you both, whilst being flattering to both of your body types, can be hard work. Luckily, we think we’ve found a few genius ideas to get you started.

Perhaps it’s time that your BFF saw a few of these … ?

1. Hot Burglars

Burglars are scary. Perhaps hot burglars aren’t that scary, but it’s definitely a great idea for a last minute Halloween costume. The clothes just need to be black (and as revealing as you dare), and the balaclavas can easily be replaced by tights or leggings if you don’t happen to have them to hand. Because, let’s face it, who does? Complete the look with those swag-bags, and you have one of the greats when it comes to Halloween costume ideas for you and your BFF.

2. Half Face Sugar Skull

You could always go as the mirror image of each other too, just like these half face sugar skull costumes. Again, an all-black-everything outfit is perfectly matched with half a face of crazy-beautiful makeup. And you still have one side of your face to show off your great ‘normal’ makeup skills too. What’s not to love about this one?

3. Stormtrooper + Princess Leia

Who said stormtroopers needed to be male anyway? We certainly didn’t, and when we’re talking about Halloween costume ideas for you and your BFF, this one’s definitely one to add right to the top of the list. One thing is for sure – we bet you won’t be buying many of your own drinks with this sassy get-up. And when you think about it, there are plenty of ways you could mix this one up – Darth Vader, in fact, any of the Star Wars cast. Go crazy with it!

4. Spooky Alice & Little Red Riding Hood

Alice in Wonderland and the Little Red Riding Hood could totally have been friends in a past life, and we love this spooky little combination of the two – a great way to bring two fairy-tales together in a way that you and your BFF will both love. You could use these two characters, or even add a wolf into the mix, and you could even go dressed as one of the little piggies if you wanted to. There’s so many options to choose from!

5. Strawberry + Pineapple

There’s nothing really scary about a strawberry and a pineapple, but it’s definitely a fruity little number that should get everyone all juiced up … Do you see what we did there? These costumes are so easy, you’ll kick yourself for not thinking about it first. One outfit is red, one is yellow, and you could use dresses, skirts and tops, trousers, leggings, shoes, or anything else you wanted. It’s another of those costumes that can be completely customised. Just add the greenery to the top so it’s easy to recognise what you’re actually meant to be.

6. Crazy Cat Lady + Cat

Let’s be honest about this – most of us our crazy cat ladies deep down, and what better way to pay homage to that than with this crazy cat lady Halloween costume, complete with cute kitty-cat. The only problem you’ll have here is working out which of you will portray who. (Cue the big fight to play the sexy kitty!) Raid your Nan’s closet for the crazy cat lady costume, and wear all black with kitten ears and some cleverly designed kitty makeup for the feline sidekick. It’s a great costume to consider when you’ve left things to the last minute … which we all do.

7. Poison Ivy + Catwoman

Why wouldn’t Poison Ivy want to hang out with Cat Woman? If there’s three of you, you could even throw Harley Quinn into the mix too. They’ve had their fair share of adventures over the years, and they’ve had each other’s backs, just as all good BFF’s should. There are so many versions you could play this too. If you didn’t want to play the female superheroes and villains, you could just play female version of the male ones – Batwoman, Spiderwoman, Wonderwoman … All kicks babes, obviously.

8. Super Mario + Luigi

Here’s a fun fact about the Super Mario – if you stay in one place for long enough during the game, hesitating on your next move, the Hammer Bros will actually come and chose you, and they’ll try and kill you too! In the real world rather than game world, we can’t think of anything cooler to dress up as with your BFF than Mario and Luigi. If there’s a whole gang of you, you could even throw Princess Peach in there too!

9. Marilyn Monroe + Audrey Hepburn

They are two of the most iconic women in the world, so shouldn’t you and your BFF dress up as Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn? Any excuse to wear that infamous white dress … for Marilyn, obviously. Audrey just needs to put up with some pearls and a long cigarette holder. If you wanted to make Halloween costume ideas for you and your BFF like this one even better for the special occasion, you could even ‘zombie’ the two stars up – add some fake blood and some gory / green makeup. Only if you want to, of course.

10. BFF’s with Superpowers

Remember we spoke about superheroes and super villains? Well, what about these two saucy and sassy ladies? Super-friends with super-powers … A perfect combination for a great movie if you ask us. Before you think about turning away the trick-or-treaters that come to your house this year, it might be wise to reconsider. In the medieval times, if a beggar was to turn up at your door dressed up in a spooky costume and you turned them away empty-handed, the wrath of the spirits and spooks would fall down upon you. Okay, we get it, make sure we pick up plenty of treats! Otherwise these two will use their superpowers for bad, and not good!

11. Zombie School Girls

And, as we’ve already discussed, there’s not much you can’t ‘zombie’ up these days, and zombie-style costumes have become increasingly popular as TV shows such as The Walking Dead. Who doesn’t love a good zombie movie? Better than that, who doesn’t love a good zombie TV show binge!

12. That Miss Universe Scandal

If you’re looking for Halloween costume ideas for you and your BFF that are beyond hilarious and brilliant, this is definitely one of the ones you should look towards. Do you remember THAT Miss World scandal? They crowned the wrong woman, had to take the crown off her, and then crown the actual winner… If the rivalry between you has been the subject of jokes for some time, why not make the most of it and go with this Miss World scandal costume idea? It’s brilliant, and everyone will love it. (If they’ve seen the news and know the story … )

13. Angel & Devil

You can’t get more classic when it comes to Halloween costume ideas for you and your BFF than using the classic good / bad combo – heaven and hell, devil and angel, white and red. It’s a classic combo for Halloween, and with everyone else going super-extravagant and playing around with complex makeup and fake blood looks, sometimes it pays to go back to basics. There’s a good chance no one else in the room will be dressed the same as you two.

14. Cruella De Vil + Dalmatian

It’s Halloween done the Disney way – the way you definitely don’t want to show the kids. They certainly wouldn’t want to see what happened to those poor dalmatian puppies once the queen of animal-cruelty, Cruella De Vil, gets hold of them, and this brilliant Halloween costume shows you just that. You don’t need to take things this far if the kids are involved, of course. Perhaps leave the (fake) culling of (fake) puppies out of it this year, eh?

15. Pizza Delivery Guy + Pizza

If you were wondering what to do with that massive pizza inflatable pool toy you bought for the summer and never actually ended up using, you’ve just found a great job for it. Pizza delivery guy (or girl), and fresh pizza – the perfect Halloween costume ideas for you and your BFF! What’s your favourite? Pepperoni? Are you a fan of anchovies? Do you like extra mushrooms? Whatever it is, wear it with pride. Repeat after us – we love pizza!

16. Starbucks Coffees

What’s the first thing you do in the day when you hang out with your BFF? You go and get yourselves a Starbucks, of course, and it’s about that time that all the pumpkin-spiced delights come on offer. If you can’t live without coffee, why not dress up as a cup of one for this Halloween season? Now what would you dress as? Pumpkin spiced latte? Skinny latte macchiato? Perhaps something chocolate-based?

17. Cool Skeletons

Halloween is the time that the divide between the spirit world and our world is at its thinnest, and that’s why we dress up as ghouls and ghosts – to stop the actual ghouls and ghosts realizing its us and coming after us. Well, something like that. The story has been twisted so many times over the years, and different places in the world celebrate Halloween in different ways, and for different reasons. That’s where the skeleton comes into play, and the connection it has to Halloween – it’s the symbol of death for many cultures, especially the skull image, and that’s what’s been used so brilliantly to create this stunning Halloween makeup look that you could totally rock with your BFF. (Or BFF’s!)

18. Gossip Girls

There was nothing scarier at school than coming face to face with one of the mean girls, or gossip girls. They were called different things in different schools, right? But they all amounted to the same thing – if you weren’t in their group, you just weren’t one of the cool kids. The movie had it right … As did the TV show. Maybe it’s time to dig out your old uniform? Would it still fit? (We tried, ours doesn’t!)

19. Jack + Sally (The Nightmare Before Christmas)

It’s Halloween, which means it’s almost Christmas, and you can combine the two with this fabulous Nightmare Before Christmas inspired Halloween costume for you and your BFF – Jack and Sally. The costs are fabulous here, but it’s the makeup that really does the trick, especially with such an iconic look as this one. All you need to do is work out who will play Jack, and who will play Sally.

20. Maleficent + Aurora

It was one of the biggest movies of 2014, and for once, it featured the villain of the story, in this case – Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty. The good versus bad divide is a great one to play out when looking at Halloween costume ideas for you and your BFF, and there’s so many you could pick from too – so many Disney movies you could choose. This one features Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) and her nemesis, Maleficent, but you could always look at Jasmine or Aladdin and their nemesis, Jafar? Or Simba and Mufasa … You see where we’re going with this?

21. Easy DIY Pinatas

It’s cute and colourful – two things that are guaranteed to brighten up anyone’s Halloween party. We think this would make for great Halloween costume ideas for you and your BFF, or even for twins, and you could even consider trying to persuade your BAE to come dressed as a piñata too. Do you think you could get him to say yes as easily as you could your BFF? Lots of crepe paper will be your best friend for this look, and you’ll want to start preparing the costume early too. Leaving this to the last minute will more than likely result in disaster. You know how nothing goes right when you have no time to correct your mistakes!

22. Unicorns

Doesn’t everyone want to be a unicorn this year? They’re everywhere – these fictional creatures that are never seen anywhere, and we think it’s because they’re so magical. What would you rather be if you could – a unicorn or a mermaid? The best thing about this best-friends-forever outfit is that all you really need is a unicorn horn. The rest of the outfit could either be white, or rainbow colours, dependant on how you feel. You can find these unicorn horn-headbands all over the place right now too. We’d suggest ordering now before they sell out.

23. Toddler Pageant Stars

Check your TV guide these days and there’s a good chance you’ll find a bunch of shows dedicated to toddler pageants, and this works on both side of the globe too. There’s something about those pageants that really get people talking … usually on completely different sides of the argument too. It’s a great idea if you and your BFF are known to be … well, brats. Go for a tutu and a leotard, add a tiara, and stick the pacifier in for good measure. We think it’s bound to get people giggling, how about you?

24. Anna & Elsa

They weren’t really enemies, but sisters are just as bad as enemies, and that’s why we totally related to this Anna and Elsa costume – perfect when you’re looking for Halloween costume ideas for you and your BFF. It’s a hot topic. Everyone’s still singing ‘Let It Go’, and it’s coming up to Christmas again so you know that song will be overplayed to death within a few short weeks. For some people, just hearing “Frozen” is enough to remind them of how MASSIVE that movie got … and how much everyone was obsessed with it. Frightening enough!

Daria was the TV show, the one in the green coat that you can see here, but the girl in the red coat was Jane Lane, Daria’s BFF, and we think together they make for the perfect BFF costume for Halloween. With everyone reaching for the super scary and blood-and-guts style makeup for Halloween this year, why not take it back to cute with these pretty and easy Halloween makeup looks? For when you’ve only got five minutes to get ready because, like many of us, you left it too late and couldn’t get your hands on a costume, or for just when you want something simple because you seriously overdid it last year, these are great for using things you’ll already have in your makeup bag.

1. Pretty Cat Makeup

You might not understand the connection between Halloween and black cats, but it’s because witches are spooky, and witches often have black cats. Now do you see the connection? In the middle ages, cats were first associated with their witchy friends, and many of them were culled … around the same time as the Black Plague. Sadly, the culling of these kitties proved detrimental to mankind – rats spread the black plague, and the cats would have caught the rats. Ooops. See, we know we need to pay homage to cats, that’s why we’re loving these easy Halloween makeup looks.

2. Sexy Fortune Teller

The fortune teller isn’t exactly a common costume you’d associate with Halloween, but in a world where literally all the other costumes are taken, you need to start thinking outside the box. If you wanted to tie this in with Halloween a little more, and you just happen to have a fortune teller / belly-dancing outfit in your fancy dress box, make it zombie-style easy Halloween makeup looks. Add some graphic and zombie makeup – black and white mostly – and you might just have a costume that could win all the competitions.

3. Cute White Rabbit Makeup

Halloween is the time for magic, black, white and every single other kind. And when we’re talking magic, one thing is absolutely necessary – you need yourself a fluffy white rabbit. To ensure no rabbits are harmed in the making of your Halloween festivities, we’d suggest dressing up as one instead. Plus, who doesn’t love a cute white, fluffy bunny?

4. Deer

Hunting is a big topic these days, and we’ve seen a few hunting-themed fancy dress outfits that we’d love to rock for Halloween. You can guarantee there’ll be a hunter at the party somewhere … and even if there’s not, you can just call it a good night. Plus, this deer-themed makeup is everything right now, and we are looking for any excuse to rock it.

5. Mermaid Makeup

Who doesn’t want to be a mermaid? We all want to be mermaids. With makeup like this, you too can be a mermaid for Halloween this year. If you want an easy way to recreate this look, here’s a great tip – a pair of fishnet tights or stockings can be held over the face, and then makeup applied over the top. When you remove the stockings or tights, they will have created a stencil effect, much like you can see here. What a great idea, right? We recommend that you get practicing right away.

6. Beautiful Cat

In Japan, it is believed that a single female should always have a feline friend, not just for Halloween either – for life. Owning a cat would apparently make you more attractive to handsome men – men who could be potential new suitors … With makeup like this, we would imagine half the potential new suitors in the party will be interested. Wouldn’t you be?

7. Fox

And if getting catty isn’t your thing, how about getting foxy instead? This would make the cutest costume for a good trick or treating session, big kid and little kids alike. If you live in Illinois, Belleville to be precise, you’d best not make plans to go trick or treating. It’s actually illegal to go trick or treating there if you’re over the age of 12. We suppose it is really a time for kids to dress up anyway … If you’re a teenager and you’re caught T&T’ing at Halloween, you could be fined from $100 to $1,000. More than what you’ll have in your loot bag, that’s certain!

8. Cheetah Makeup

Here’s a fun fact about Halloween we bet you didn’t know – Harry Houdini actually died on this day in 1926. It wasn’t from one of his infamous, daredevil tricks however. It was just a raptured appendix. Not really going out with as much of a bang as you’d have thought … right? You can go IN with a bang with this cheetah-inspired makeup for Halloween though, and here’s a clever trick if you’re going to be using a lot of eyeliner. You can turn a pencil eyeliner into a gel eyeliner with the help of a lighter. Just hold the pencil edge over the flame for a few seconds, and when you use it, it’ll be more soft and gel-like than the hard pencil.

9. Reindeer Makeup

A reindeer isn’t exactly what you’d consider to be a Halloween-themed look, but this one is a little clown-esque … if a reindeer could look clown-esque, of course! Plus it gives you plenty of practice for those Christmas makeup looks you’re trying to nail. It’s cute, pretty and easy so technically it ticks all the right boxes. Plus you can still rock your favorite killer eye makeup, which instantly makes it a winner in our eyes.

10. Kitty

Back in the Medieval times, predominantly in Spain and France, it was believed that black cats were the bringers of bad luck, and if any human were to come near them, they’d be cursed. In Germany around the same time, you were luckier because you’d only be cursed if the black cat in question walked in front of you from left to right. We think these poor black kitties are getting too much of a bad rap, so we’ve brought you a super cute kitty to help spin things around. Someone’s gotta stand up for the little guys!

11. Pretty Fairy

It’s like a fairy from a science-fiction movie, and that makes it a brilliant idea for pretty and easy Halloween makeup looks. That pink and goldy-yellow glow is easy to recreate with the right shades of makeup and some clever blending, and we especially love those long and dramatic lashes. Halloween is the perfect time to play around with looks you’d never be bold or brave enough to try, and we reckon this is the cutest and prettiest one to start with.

12. Hot Kitty

Black cats aren’t always seen as bad luck though – in some places, black cats were considered to be good luck. Japan, for example, believe that black cats are the bringer of good luck, and in Britain they’re believe to bring affluence. Plus we all know about the Ancient Egyptians – they loved their feline friends. We love this feline-themed makeup, a brilliant idea when you’re on the hunt for pretty and easy Halloween makeup looks.

13. Sugar Skull

The sugar skull / Day of the Dead look has become popular over recent years, and this one is an adorable look – pretty in pink and embellished with all things pink, shiny and wonderful. It’s scary and cute all at the same time. With the help of pink eyeliner, it’s simple a case of adding hearts to the face, surrounding those with gems, and making your eyebrows match the rest of the look, in this case, a beautiful pink shade. You could even switch this up to different pastel shades to match your outfit too – greens, blues, lilacs, etc.

14. Easy DIY Makeup Look

We are loving the lips on this look – it’s a little kitty-like but at the same time, a little comic book-like too. In fact, we think it might just be the perfect combination for pretty and easy Halloween makeup looks. Those lips are easier to recreate than you first may have thought. Once you have that pinky-blush base, you add a black lip or eye liner pencil to the surrounding, giving it that comic-book outline. A white eyeshadow can be dabbed carefully in place for that glossy shine on the bottom lip, or you could use a white liquid eyeliner too. We’ve had great success with the latter. Black eyeliner can be used for those whiskers, the faux-eyelashes, and the nose too.

15. Easy Last-Minute Makeup Look

You know all those darker shades in your contour palette that you never get the chance to use because they’re too dark for your skin? Well, now you have the perfect opportunity to use them – in this glorious feline look. The cat wins hands-down when you’re looking for pretty and easy Halloween makeup looks, and it’s not hard to see why. Everything is super simple as long as you have a steady hand, and it’s just a case of adding a black top lip, a black nose-tip, and kitty-shaped black eyes before applying those finishing touches – the whiskers.

16. Black Bunny Makeup

We’ve had the white bunny, and now it’s time for the black bunny. Because they’re super cute too … right? This look is super simple, great for those who don’t want to wear mounds of makeup on Halloween. We all know how hard it is to keep layers upon layers of makeup in check when you’re hot, dancing, and enjoying a few glasses of fizzy pop. A lighter shade foundation is needed for the base, and you’ll need a pretty pastel pink for the lips. If you don’t have the right shade of lip product to hand, you can use one of those pastel pink eye shadows you never use in the palette. Dab some on the lips and you’ll recreate that beautiful shade. Once you’re done with that, brown streaks and smudges will recreate the fur around the edges of the face, and a black eyeliner can add the nose, and those dots on the cheeks. Cute, right?

17. Purrr Purrr Purrr

When you’re wearing bright and bold eyeshadow colors such as those found in pretty and easy Halloween makeup looks like this one, you need to know how to make them really pop, and there’s a great trick we can share with you for that … Before you apply any color or shadow to your eyelids, cover the entire lids with a white eyeliner pencil first. The white base will make any color applied over the top really shine brightly. Think of it as adding the shadow to a completely blank white canvas.

18. Black & Gold Cheetah

When trying to achieve the perfect cat-eye with your black eyeliner, there’s a great trick you can use. We’re full of great tricks today! Paint the outside of the kitten-flick first, and then fill it in. That’s as easy as it gets. First apply the flicks from the outer corner of your eye in the direction of the edge of your eyebrow, and then paint the liner on the lid itself after. Once you’ve got that basic shape, the rest will come much easier.

19. Simple Cat Makeup

And while we’re on the subject of perfect kitten-flicks which, let’s face it, is super important when looking at pretty and easy Halloween makeup looks because there’s a lot of cat-eyes, a spoon might just be your greatest ally. Getting eyeliner right is hard. Getting eyeliner to match on both eyes is equally hard. A tool to even things out is necessary – a teaspoon is just the right tool. You can use the handle of the spoon as your straight line to get those kitten flicks just right, and the curved edge of the spoon is just right for helping you to get the rest the right shape. Plus, holding the spoon underneath your bottom lashes will prevent you from getting mascara everywhere. Who knew you just needed a spoon?

20. Here, Kitty, Kitty!

Accessories are important for getting your pretty and easy Halloween makeup looks spot on, just like these kitty-ears. We think they’re perfect, and pretty adorable too. What do you think? Even if you only have minimal time to get your makeup look right, the ears will instantly help to stop people saying things like, “Oh, so what are you meant to be tonight?” Plus … any excuse to buy more accessories. And we really need these ears.

21. Black & White Look

And now for the most intricate kitty of them all – black and white kitty. A little bit spooky, a little bit cute, a lot awesome. For this one, you’ll need to think a little outside the box. Forget everything you’ve learned about how you *should* do your eyebrows, and do them a little differently instead. The aim of the game is to make your makeup as big and as bold as you can – it’s Halloween after all.

22. Simple Cheetah Makeup

Cheetah (or leopard) print is actually a lot easier to recreate than you first may have thought, and once you’ve mastered the basics, there’s nothing you won’t be able to leopard-print-up. Imagine having beautiful leopard nails to match your stunning leopard makeup. All you need to do is place a blob of that darker brown / bronze shade on your face and then grab yourself a black / dark brown eyeliner. You simply brush the liner around the edge of the darker blob of eyeshadow, or whatever you’ve used in that original darker shade, and you have something that looks a little like this. It’s so much easier than you thought, right?

23. Glam Kitty

What about glam kitty though? It’s a stunning look, right? And the even greater news is that pretty and easy Halloween makeup looks take just a few minutes. Most of us have something black in our closets we can fall back on (*everything black), so it gives you the perfect last-minute Halloween costume. You know, for when you’ve left everything to the last minute like so many of us do …

26. Gangster Clown

Another popular look to try this Halloween is the gangster clown. We love gangster clown makeup because it can be as simple or as ornate as you like. You can also keep your eye makeup pretty and glam too. Here is a great example of the gangster clown. Her eyes look gorgeous and the design around the mouth looks cool too. You can find a full list of the products used to create the look on the page below.

The next idea is another simple look and it is one of our favorites! This artist has kept her makeup pretty and stylish like you would wear every day but she has added spider legs on one of her eyes! As you can see, the spider legs look so unique and a little scary too. This is an awesome idea and you can recreate this or wear the legs with any makeup. Maybe choose darker lip and eye colors as it is Halloween.

Makeup like this is so easy to wear. You can recreate this or try a simpler version without the glitter. Unicorn horn headbands can be bought online.

32. Batman Inspired Makeup

Maybe you would rather be the hero than the villain this Halloween? If so, this idea could be perfect for you. This makeup artist has created a glam Batman look. She has gold, sparkly eyes and red lips. The look is finished off with the iconic Batman mask. This is a cool look and you can recreate this or choose any superhero mask.

33. White Skull Makeup with Red Rhinestones

Next, we have another white skull makeup idea. The makeup artist has created a classic sugar skull design and the look is finished off with red rhinestones. This is a pretty and spooky makeup look that will suit everyone. You can recreate the red and white makeup or use any color crystals.

34. Colorful Sugar Skull Inspired Makeup

For the rest of her face, one side has skeletal features and the other side of her face has a clown design. We love this combination of two classic Halloween characters.

38. Creepy Doll Mask Makeup Idea

Next, we have a very creepy idea. This makeup artist has created a white doll mask on her face. Even though the makeup is pretty, it is still a little scary too. Something like this would be perfect for a party and it will be quite simple to recreate too. You can try similar makeup to this or try your own doll mask design.

39. Simple Skeleton Makeup with Floral Headband

This next makeup idea is simple and stunning. For this look, the makeup artist has created black skull makeup with an elegant pattern. We love her eye makeup because it is smokey and glam. If you recreate the look, try and wear a floral headband as that finishes off the makeup beautifully. You can make your own with a plain headband, white plastic roses and a glue gun.

40. Pennywise the Clown

IT is one of the scariest books and movies. This next idea features makeup inspired by the clown Pennywise who appears in the story. The artist has created glam eye makeup and she has used red to create the clown design. There are also some red balloons which the clown is known for. We can’t believe that makeup inspired by an evil clown could look so cute.

41. Cute Scarecrow Makeup

Earlier we shared a scarecrow makeup idea and if you liked that, then you should check this one out too. This version of the scarecrow is bright and pretty. Makeup like this will take practice but the end result will be worth it. Recreate this look or try a similar design in any colors you like. You could even wear a floral headband to finish off the look.

Everything about these pretty and easy Halloween makeup looks is super awesome, and a lot of them can be created with tools you’ll already have in your makeup bag. Perhaps it’s about time you sat down and got practicing with your cute kitty? As we’ve said before, black cats and Halloween go hand in hand!

Here’s a fun Halloween treat for you – myths and legends have said that if you see a spider on Halloween, you’re being watched by someone in the spirit world. That might not be overly comforting to some, but it’s nice to know someone’s paying attention … right?

Speaking of all things Halloweeny that start with the letter ’S’, how do you feel about skeletons? It’s a look that just goes hand in hand with All Hallow’s Eve, and there are plenty of fun and fabulous ways to rock the look. We’ve found 43 cool skeleton makeup ideas to try for Halloween …

1. Bloody Half Face Skeleton

Halloween actually started about two thousand years ago, and October 31st was believed to be the last day of the calendar of the Celtic people. The pagan holiday back then was known as the traditional, Old Hallow’s Eve, and it was a day to celebrate the dead. Why not play dead while you celebrate the dead? This skeleton makeup look is incredible, and when you consider that it’s just a combination of black and white makeup cleverly mixed together, you must admit it’s temping to try for Halloween 2019?

2. Half Skull Makeup Look

Speaking of white faces, (which we totally were with the whole skeleton theme), the white mask that you see in the spooky movie, Halloween, wasn’t actually designed to be a scary mask. Michael Myer’s scary face once belonged to William Shatner – they just painted it white for the movie. You’ll need a few tools to hand if you want to recreate these cool skeleton makeup ideas to try for Halloween. To start with, make a list that consists of – an angled eyeliner brush, some white eyeliner, an eyeshadow brush, black eyeshadow, black liquid liner, and a light-colored foundation. The lighter the better, in fact; think ghostly!

3. Pin Up Skeleton

In order to complete the skeleton look that goes hand in hand with this makeup, you’ll need the right outfit although that often comes much easier. Black booties with black leggings (or black jeans), a black body or top, and a leather jacket – that’s how we’d rock it. If the jeans and top were cheap enough to replace, we might even get some white fabric paint and get inventive with bones.

4. Half Face Glam Skeleton

The good news about the skeleton makeup look is that it doesn’t need to be perfect. In fact, far from it. The less perfect you can make this look, the better it will end up being. Don’t worry if things don’t exactly match on both sides. Why bother with both sides at all? A half and half face is a decent enough scary face for us. Plus it only means half the work, which makes it an instant winner.

5. Couples Skeleton Makeup

While we’re on the subject of bones, did you know that there are 206 bones in the adult body? That’s not the fun fact though … the fact that will wow your Halloween audiences is that when you are born, you actually have more bones than that – 300. Over your younger years, the bones fuse together and that’s why you have less. The good news is this is a great Halloween look that a couple can wear – it’s unisex, his n’ hers, and it’s pretty macho too. We’re sure your significant other won’t find a single thing to complain about!

6. Pop of Gold Glitter

If you ever break a bone, the bone will repair itself as long as it’s set in the right place. That’s why doctors will use a plaster cast over a broken bone. The idea is to keep it still so that the bones can then fuse together. We’re all learning loads this Halloween! We’ll even let you use these facts as your own to your friends and family. This is a great way to modernize and customize your cool skeleton makeup ideas to try for Halloween – add a pop of glitter. Just because you’re dead doesn’t mean you can’t still sparkle!

7. Grey Skeleton Makeup + Flower Crown

And if you want to sparkle with glitter, you can flounce around in flowers too – who doesn’t want to be a dead little skeleton flower girl? This look is both cute and creepy in equal measures, and we think that’s why we love it so much. Plus you still have one ‘normal’ eye, which means you can still pull out your killer eye makeup skills. We are in love with this Halloween look!

8. Scary Skeleton Look

When looking to recreate this look for your own spooky Halloween festivities, start with the foundation. I know that sounds obvious, but a lot of makeup artists these days start by working on the eyes and then move on from there. The white base makes life a lot easier when you’re piling on heavy and thick black eyeshadow, so apply this first.

9. White & Gold Skeleton Makeup

This look is a super simple way of recreating these cool skeleton makeup ideas for Halloween. It just uses brown and white eyeliner with a hint of glitter thrown in for good measure. You can even leave your eyebrows totally ‘on fleek’. It’s a half and half look that we can totally work with. You can still get away with killer eye makeup, whilst still carrying that spooky air about you.

10. Burned Skeleton Face

This is a different kind of look entirely, and you’re verging into special effects makeup with this skeleton look. It’s a half and half skeleton face, but with much more detail than you’ve seen before. We love that the blood has been added around the edge of the face, making it appear as if her skin and flesh has been completely ripped off.
