47 Stunning Blonde Highlights for Dark Hair

21. Soft Blonde Lowlights

If you’ve always wanted to go for a more copper hue to your ‘do, forget all the rules like Kate Bosworth did (and does regularly). Do what you like. You can easily include red tones into a balayage blend like this. It gives you a chance to rock the shade without it being too much.

22. Dark Chocolate to Honey Blonde

Kim Kardashian is a really big fan of rocking the dark chocolate to honey blonde look. We’ve seen her combine the shades in balayage styles, a lob, multi-tone all-overs, and much-more. It’s such big style for right now, and even better than that it’s one of the easiest styles to wear. Opt for chocolate tones to blend your darker and lighter shades, and you’ll find it all comes together quite beautifully.

23. Natural Looking Highlights

This is so natural, it actually looks like a few naturally sun-bleached highlights grown out, and in reality it almost could be. That’s the whole point of these stunning blonde highlights for dark hair. They’re meant to look natural. They’re hand-painted and cleverly blended for a reason.

24. High Contrast Ombre

Of course, there are different ends to the spectrum. You can go for something subtle and natural-looking, or you could go a little outside the box and opt for something bolder and brighter. This high contrast ombre is a classic example of that. When you blend together two very different ends – light and dark – with the right shades in the middle, you have a great way to rock the colours and hues you really want.

25. Hand Painted Melt

Different layers of highlights is the easiest way to rock a look like this. Although time consuming, will give you themes natural of finishes. That’s if you want that kind of thing, of course. Ciara is a big fan of this beautiful hand painted melt look, and we are too now that we’ve seen it.

26. Ice Blonde Highlights

If you want a creamier, brighter shade of blonde in your new ‘do, opt to have it towards the ends, working it up into the darker shade naturally. The gradient is very soft, despite very different contrasting shades being used at either end. Those curls just help to add definition too. It’s all about the oomph.

27. Dark to Blonde Ombre Lob

There are plenty of ways to rock stunning blonde highlights for dark hair. Adding a “bronde” mix into your locks is a good place to start. Also known as “braund”, it’s a combination of brown and blonde together that creates a beautiful, rich tone. Adding caramel shades in with your darker and more natural hair colour is how to get it. Your hairstylist will be able to help you find the right tones for you.

28. Golden Blonde Highlights

Next, we have a stunning highlighted idea to show you. Here we have long, curly hair with dark root color and golden blonde highlights. A golden blonde tone like this is bright and beautiful. Highlights in this shade will give life back to your hair and give it a summery sun-kissed look.

29. Caramel Blonde Highlights for Dark Hair

A stylish way to highlight your hair is with ombre. Ombre is a highlighting technique where half of the hair is dark and half of the hair is light. For this look, the hair is black at the top and then the lower half of the hair is a caramel blonde shade. This is a stunning look and you can recreate it or try a lighter blonde color for the ombre.

30. Short Blonde Hair Idea

It is not just long hair that you can add highlights to, you can also highlight shorter hair too. Here is a gorgeous example. This is a short haircut with side swept bangs. The hair is a dark brown shade with multi tone highlights on the the top layer of the hair. This is a trendy short hairstyle that will look gorgeous on anyone.
